In 1979, Le Méridien Abu Dhabi Resort Resort was inaugurated by two of the twentieth century's most significant figures:
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the father of the UAE, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It was the beginning of a story that has continued to unfold across more than four decades — a story of a resort that has grown with the city around it, and never stopped discovering what hospitality can be....
